A course that provides an in depth exploration of two important aspects of financial planning. Students will learn the various alternatives available in planning for retirement, including qualified 和 non-qualified retirement plans 和 social security. Additional topics of study are the advantages 和 costs of employee benefit plans, 包括非退休金福利. Healthcare planning, Medicare 和 ethical issues will be included.

FI 423 – Professional Financial Planning

This course centers around the principles, 概念, ethics 和 applications of financial planning for the professional planner working with individuals, 家庭或企业. Analytical procedures will be taught 和 cases used to illustrate the determination of financial goals, 适当选择农产品, 和 planning process implementation necessary to accomplish goals.

FI 424 – 个人理财规划 Capstone

FI 424 will be a continuation of the comprehensive written financial plan started in FI 423 , with emphasis on a comprehensive underst和ing of content in the PFP curriculum,  including retirement planning 和 estate planning. The student will complete case studies 和 continue development of the sections of the written financial plan related to content areas covered in the course. The student will submit a comprehensive written financial plan for evaluation 由 course instructor. In addition, the student will orally present a summary of the plan for evaluation.
